AIMS OF THE PROJECT
The aim of the project is to make students aware of their national food through intercultural education. We aim to encourage them to learn more about history of food of different European countries, comparing similarities and differences in the chosen national dishes, hence emphasizing cultural diversity and the need for cultural tolerance and inappropriateness of prejudice.
In the project students will be important participants in their local communities since the products of the project will be used by different institutions. Also, their work will undoubtedly enrich local tourist offer. Our students will research FIVE RECIPES during all four seasons that come from all regions in Croatia and show what the ingredients are and how to make them, e. g. they will create presentations, videos, animations, etc. |
Also, students will try to find out from their mothers and grandmothers their own old recipes which were lost or where you can not find in a recipe book. The final products of the project will be a CD-ROM, a printed collection of our work (a book), an interactive eCookbook and a project web site, all of which will be used for dissemination in our schools and our local communities.
Students will express themselves in various ways and improve their skills in writing, arts and ICT. Furthermore, students and teachers from partner schools will get a chance to travel to foreign countries and communicate in English which will allow full participation of the students and the teaching staff. |
